3BL History

Dates: 9 & 10 June, 2018                        Venue: Great India Place Mall, Noida & Jaypee Greens, Greater Noida.                 The first round of the first season witnessed quite a bit of a hurdle due to the adverse weather conditions but that didn’t stop us from giving the fans a much needed dose of 3×3.

Dates: 7 & 8 July, 2018                             Venue: South Point Mall, Kolkata.           Players like Leandro Souza de Lima, Kyle Benton and Naiel Smith debuted at Round 3 but it was Kiran Shastri that stirred up a storm in Kolkata and raised the bar of the competition.

Dates: 11 & 12 August, 2018               Venue: Phoenix Marketcity, Bengaluru Wet, Wild & Posterized! That sums up Round 5 in Bangalore as the rains played spoil sport. But that didn’t stop us as we witnessed the highest number of slam dunks in a round.

Dates: 22 & 23 September, 2018         Venue: People’s Plaza, Hyderabad         This is the first time India hosts an official 3×3 event with three teams from India participating such as Delhi 3BL, Bangalore 3BL and Hyderabad 3BL. They compete for two days for the pride to represent their city, a USD 200,000 cheque and a chance to qualify for the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Bloomage Beijing Final.

Dates: 4 August, 2019                       Venue: Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar                                                The wait is over! 3BL introduces the Women’s League for the first time India, presenting our female ballers a unique opportunity to showcase their skill.

Conference A: 10 August, 2019 Conference B: 11 August, 2019             Venue: Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar                                               The best way to describe this round would be ‘absolute destruction’ as all the teams brought on their ‘A’ game to Jalandhar!

Conference A: 17 August, 2019 Conference B: 18 August, 2019               Venue: Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar                                                 This was a round like no other as everyone present witnessed one of the most iconic game winning moment in 3BL featuring Inderbir Singh Gill!

Conference A: 8th March, 2022 Conference B: 9th March, 2022     Venue: Wyndham Chandigarh Mohali     The Basketball Federation of India (BFI) and International Basketball Federation (FIBA) backed 3×3 Pro Basketball League (3BL) returned for the third straight season for men and women with all the games played at Hotel Wyndham Chandigarh Mohali.

Conference A: 10th March, 2022 Conference B: 11th March, 2022     Venue: Wyndham Chandigarh Mohali Spanish 3×3 specialist Carlos Martinez proved his calibre, leading Mumbai Heroes to an impressive Men’s Conference ‘A’ Round 2 title. Despite losing to Gurugram Masters in the initial pool stages, Mumbai Heroes elevated their play in the finals to clinch their first Round title

Conference A: 12th March, 2022 Conference B: 13th March, 2022             Venue: Wyndham Chandigarh Mohali There seemed to be no stopping Ahmedabad Wingers in 3BL Men’s Conference ‘B’, as they clinched their third straight ‘Round’ title. The Wingers squad boasts of Indian basketball’s ‘Big Two’ of centre Amritpal Singh and playmaker Vishesh Bhriguvanshi.

Conference A: 14th March, 2022 Conference B: 15th March, 2022      Venue: Wyndham Chandigarh Mohali Defending champions Gurugram Masters underlined their class in 3BL Men’s Conference ‘A’, winning their third ‘Round’ title. Facing off against nemesis Heroes, Masters knew they had to bring their ‘A’ game. For his consistent showing throughout this Round, Marcus James Hammonds II claimed his second Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.

Conference A: 16th March, 2022 Conference B: 17th March, 2022             Venue: Wyndham Chandigarh Mohali Ahmedabad Wingers led by the Indian basketball tag team of Vishesh Bhriguvanshi and Amritpal Singh, clinched the ‘Round 5’ title of 3BL Men’s Conference ‘B’. Wingers’ firepower was too much to handle for the beleaguered Lucknow Ligers who tried to change things up against the powerhouse.

Date: 20th & 21st March, 2022             Venue: Wyndham Chandigarh Mohali Defending champion Gurugram Masters successfully retained their title at 3BL Season 3. The 3BL Men’s Finals was a much anticipated clash between two heavyweight teams from opposite conferences. The champion team Gurugram Masters won INR 35 lakh and a spot at the FIBA 3×3 WT Manila 2022. Runners up Ahmedabad Wingers were rewarded with INR 25 lakh and a spot at the ABL 3×3 Cup Bali 2022. The third placed team, Mumbai Heroes won INR 15 Lakhs.
