Chandigarh, 20^th March 2022: India players – Stephy Nixon (Kochi Stars) and Raspreet Sidhu (Delhi Divas) led their teams to the knockout stages of the Finale Round 6 of 3BL Women’s League 2022. ‘3BL’, the only 3X3 Professional Basketball League in India is backed by the Basketball Federation of India and the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). The Kochi and Delhi teams were joined by Ludhiana Queens and Jaipur Regals in the semifinals. The third season of 3BL is being played at the Hotel Wyndham Chandigarh Mohali from 8^th – 21^st March 2022 and is seeing participation from top national and international men’s and women’s 3X3 basketball players. 

Coming into this finale Round 6, Nixon led defending champions – Kochi Stars, and Sidhu led Delhi Divas had clinched all five of the preliminary round titles between them, with Kochi winning two, and Delhi winning three.

Both Stars and Divas won both their group stage games to storm into the knockouts as toppers of their respective pools.

In the semifinals tomorrow, Kochi Stars will face Jaipur Regals (captained by 2021 Padma Shri Awardee Anitha Pauldurai), while Delhi Divas will be up against Ludhiana Queens, the sole Punjab team in the competition. 

Meanwhile, Coimbatore Spunkies (led by Arjuna Awardee Geethu Anna Rahul) and Pune Panthers (featuring former India player Smruthi Radhakrishnan) became the first two teams to get eliminated after losing both their group stage games.
