3×3 Pro Basketball Season 3 Tryouts Announced

  • Separate tryouts for both Men & Women will be held in Chandigarh (16-17 October) & Hyderabad (23-24 October).
  • Interested participants need to advance register themselves on the 3BL app, available for download on both Android and iOS.
  • 3×3 Pro Basketball League or ‘3BL’ is India’s only FIBA/BFI recognized Pro Basketball League. Earlier this year, the Basketball Federation of India (BFI) granted recognition to 3BL, paving the way for the country’s top players to participate.
  • All COVID related health & safety protocols will be followed to ensure a safe environment for participants.

Delhi, 11th Oct 2021: Ending a long wait, the much anticipated tryouts for Season 3 of India’s only Pro Basketball League, ‘3BL’, have been announced.

“Tryouts will be held in two strategically chosen cities – Chandigarh & Hyderabad, to ensure maximum participation from different corners of India,” Mr Rohit Bakshi, Commissioner (3BL) said. “Interested participants need to advance register themselves on the 3BL app, available for download on both Android and iOS.”

On 16th & 17th October, Chandigarh’s Sector 42 Sports Complex will host the tryouts, followed by in Hyderabad at Loyola Academy on 23rd & 24th October.

“We have received a record number of registrations on the 3BL app, and are keen to select the best talent for the upcoming Season 3 of India’s only FIBA & BFI recognized Pro Basketball League,” Mr Yoshiya Kato, Chairman (3BL) added.

About 3×3 Basketball

Akin to the T20 version of cricket, 3×3 basketball is one of the fastest growing urban sports in the world. It is also played widely in Indian schools and colleges, as well as in casual neighbourhood ‘pick-up’ games.

3×3 Basketball is the fastest and shortest format of basketball in the world. All you need is one hoop, a half-court and six players. Games can be staged outdoor and indoor in iconic locations to bring basketball directly to the people. It’s a 10-minute game.
